Board of Governors

The Board of Governors is responsible for the policy and overall efficient functioning of Holy Family College.  The Sister Provincial is ex-officio and is entitled to attend board meetings.  By custom, the board members are generally drawn from the parents of current or past learners.

The board consists of a maximum of 12 elected and co-opted members.  Each is responsible for a portfolio of activities suitable to his or her ability.  The board also includes the principal.

The Board of Governors is presided over by a chairman and in it is vested full executive power.  Matters concerning the daily administration of the school and the academic prowess of the learners are dealt with by the principal.

It is the policy of the board to be accessible to parents in order to preserve the excellent relations, which already exist.
