At Holy Family College, the High School Choir Programme strives to foster an inclusive environment where different backgrounds, cultures and experiences are respected and celebrated.

Choir members are drawn from Grades 8 to 12 and as many singers as possible are accepted into the choir.

Emphasis is given to the learning of repertoire and building character through music and choral participation. Making music with other people helps to establish a culture of tolerance and acceptance and leads young people to understand and value diversity.

The choir forms an integral part in leading the praise and worship at the high school Mass which takes place in the chapel every second week, Opening Mass at the beginning of each school term and Closing Mass at the end of each school term, as well as other school activities that take place throughout the year.

It is important to encourage and nurture a love for singing as this will enable the choir to grow from strength to strength. We look forward to many years of making great music!
